01What does a digital marketing consultant actually do?+
At Grove Foundry, one person handles everything end-to-end: planning the strategy, building the campaigns, managing the day-to-day optimisation, and reporting on what is working. No layers of a larger team between you and the work.
02How do I know if my website is performing well?+
The honest answer is that most business owners do not know, because their analytics are either not set up properly or they're looking at the wrong numbers. I start by making sure tracking is configured correctly, then focus on the metrics that tie back to revenue: conversion rate, cost per lead, and which channels drive real enquiries. Not pageviews or bounce rate in isolation.
03Can you help with my Shopify or WordPress website?+
Yes. I work across Shopify, WordPress, Webflow, Squarespace, and custom-built sites. Most web projects are either ground-up builds focused on speed and conversion, or fixing performance and SEO issues on existing sites. If your site is slow, not converting, or you're not sure whether it's pulling its weight, I can take a look and tell you what is worth fixing.
04What's the difference between hiring an agency and a consultant?+
Agencies are usually built around layers: a salesperson, an account manager, a strategist, and the person doing the day-to-day work. That structure has its place, especially for very large campaigns. With a consultant, you get the senior person directly, which often means faster decisions, fewer handoffs, and a closer connection between strategy and execution. The trade-off is capacity - a consultant takes on fewer clients, so the attention per client is higher.
05Do you work with not-for-profits and government organisations?+
Yes - it is some of the work I most enjoy. I have managed campaigns for state and local government bodies, including tourism boards and councils, as well as not-for-profits. For eligible not-for-profits I also set up and manage Google Ad Grants, which gives up to $10,000 per month in free Google Search advertising. If you are a not-for-profit, that is usually the first conversation we have.
